Ask Angeline Anything!

Alright, following up on our success of interviewing Tenzin, it’s now Angeline’s turn for the spotlight!

For inspiration, here is an early concept drawing of Angeline that Seba made ages ago that really captured her character very well in my opinion. Her look has changed a bit across the comic, but I still keep coming back to this original drawing :D

So, comment below with your questions, and I’ll compile answers into a post like I did for Tenzin :)

    What inspired you to study science? Was it the Soviet and post-Soviet educational system that made the humanities less palatable and the sciences obviously suited to less physically destructive labout?

    Is there a difference between simulated emotion and actually feeling it? When does a machine become an individual with rights? Do you think that Jane is better at rewriting her code the others? Why or why not? How does an AI acquire ethics?

    What do you learn from the small autonomous bots like the one Jane commandeered? Did she damage or destroy the on-board AI programming when she took it over?

    When making the AI programmes, such as Jane, did you think that they would be capable of performing such highly advanced medical techniques as Jane demonstrated in their current form, or did you think you would have to make a Jane 2.0/Janette?

    Could Jane actually overrun the security systems of Minerva if she desired to? Even if not technically possible, what do you think Jane would do while she was in control, even if it was only for a short time?
